Hello....I, Dr. Biswarup Satpati, am working as a Scientist at Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Kolkata since September, 2010. I have completed my Ph.D. degree in the year 2005 from Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar, India, in the area of synthesis, modification, and characterization of nanostructured materials by energetic ion irradiation. I have worked as a Post Doctoral Researcher at Paul-Drude Institute for Solid State Electronics, Berlin, Germany from May, 2005 to June, 2007. Here I have worked on semiconductor device class materials in an international project. My main research interest is growth of wide class of low-dimensional metal and semiconductor heterostuctures and study their interfaces (structure, chemistry and strain) using high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) and associated techniques. I have published more than 375 research papers in peer reviewed journals.
